1) Having never played the first game and knowing nothing about the events in it, will I be totally lost playing this or is the storyline easy to dive into?
2) How are the controls for it on the 360?

I believe it was assfax who said that it isn't really necessary to play the first one (since I asked if it did some sort of Bioware save remembrance thing) and they make references to the first game to get you up to speed.

I can't really speak as to how it controls on the 360 since I play on PC but perhaps someone else can help there. It does play a little like Dragon Age does with radial menus and such so I can't see it being to different.

My only hope is that the console version isn't uber censored.

I remember Dan tweeting a week or two about the awkward moment where his younger (I think) brother was watching him play the game and, whoops, nudity.

That is disappointing. The whole point of playing The Witcher was watching Geralt of Rivia pretty much be the sword and socrery version of A Pimp Named Slickback.

The opening cinematic was amazing.
I am a little irritated that the Tutorial was all "HA! HA! You Suck. Play on Easy!" I am sorry that I didn't grasp a totally new combat system right away. Stupid everything.
I haven't really done anything but I keep feeling like I am missing a billion things.
I also feel like I really need to get out of my Mass Effect "always select the top option" mode.

Get the first Witcher novel from Amazon and you will get up to speed after a couple day's of reading. The game follows the book's plot to the letter albeit without Geralt's constant wenching.

I got the evil eye from my girlfriend whenever I put EDI in my squad when playing ME3, so you can imagine the size and weight of the projectiles she'd throw at my head if she saw Geralt putting the make on the clerk in the first game. Yikes.
