Well fuck this place. It took 144 characters or less to kill all the buzz we'd built up in this thread. "We take pro wrestling seriously" sounds like code for Davey Richards vs. Davey Richards in a Davey Richards on a pole match. Inside a Steel Davey Richards.

So, I started a blog....https://farwell3d.wordpress.com/

Like both Sober & Holy Diver but went with Holy Diver, one of my favs. Tossup between Beatles and LCD so went with the underdog. And Bust a Move rules!

Dio, Fab 4, & DJ Shadow. If this were a Battle Royal, The Beatles would be standing tall at the end.

Quite liked the Tool song, and I'm not a Tool fan. Sorry, but stuff like Dio is just the worst music in the world to me.

Didn't mind the LCD Soundsystem, but it didn't strike me as owt special. Went with the Beatles in that one.

Wasn't keen on either of the songs in the third match. Went with DJ Shadow, because it's at least the sort of thing I can have on in the background, whereas I couldn't see me ever listening to Bust A Move.

I owned Entroducing... for years. Wasn't even sure where and when I had bought it, but knew that I had listened to it a couple of times, didn't like it and chalked it up as one of those disappointing blind buys. Then sometime last year, I put it on my ipod, and everything just clicked. I was practically listening to it every night on my journey to work. It is an amazing album, and has easily jumped into my top 3 favourite albums of all time. Midnight In A Perfect World is the absolute highlight of the album. Just a perfect track, and unfortunately, though I love the album, I wish it ended there, because the quality drops after that. It's stunning.

So imagine my utter dismay when I see it losing to Bust a fucking move.

Never much cared for Tool...easy choice for RJD for that one.

Beatles song that never made my top or bottom ten of theirs vs. LCD Soundsystem, who I just can't fucking stand ever since I first heard "Daft Punk is Playing."

Not really a hip-hop guy; almost don't feel qualified to vote on it.  And yet, the verse about the wedding is so outrageously stupid that I'd probably vote for DJ Shadow without listening to the song first.  (I did listen to it, though.  Not super my thing, but I like it better than the alternative.)

I love Bust A Move but how is that track beating a DJ Shadow joint?
And if you can't enjoy a horror flick while high and surrounded by black people, what the fuck are you even doing watching horror flicks?

Beatles and Young MC are easy choices for me, but I'm still stuck on Tool vs. DIO.  Jesus, what a fucking match-up.  Two great songs, that also help illustrate just how wide the genre of metal can really be.

Ronnie James Dio is one of the greatest metal singers to ever pick up a mic.  Holy Diver is one of his most iconic songs with a guitar riff that could wake the dead.

I like Sober.  I really, really like Sober.  But it's no Holy Diver.
