So Bud Shoot-out tonight continues Kyle Busch's reputation as the most in control out of control driver.  Makes a crazy save early, Gordon almost dumps him and he ends up inching out Smoke.

Daytona is going to be interesting.  The packs are back and bump drafting is going to be problematic if guys continue to do it in the turns.

I'm more interested in what happens to Jimmie Johnson? Sounds like Rick Hendricks is pissed at NASCAR.

We'll miss ya Big Dave.

Is 2012 going to be Bizarro year for they Bush Bros?
If Kyle has any more "Holy Sh*t!" moments like the shootout, the people can't help but cheer for him.
At least I could have sworn I heard some cheers at the end for Kyle.
Plus, if Kurt has any success with an one car team, a lot of the old school fans with warm up to that.

I was having a chat with a NASCAR fan the other week and I basically said the Busch brothers and Juan Pablo Montoya were my 3 favourite guys in the series. They were all "Those guys suck, they are assholes who can't drive", and my response was basically "I know, that's why I like them so much". This was also a Jimmie Johnson fan so of course I had to needle the shit out of them when he gets busted for an infraction before the season even starts too.

So, on Daytona, is Marcos Ambrose some kind of legit dark horse here, or is he just qualifying well and going to vanish? The guy looked like he was coming on alright on the ovals last year after starting as a road course specialist basically.

The Fords seem to have an advantage in qualifying at Daytona, but it didn't really translate to the shootout last weekend, other than Ambrose.

Just glad to see Edwards and Biffle starting the field.  Not that it means much but I hope Roush Fenway can win a championship this year.

Yes, sir.

Anyone find it comical Johnson took that monster hit and DW instead continually swoons over the fact that Danica's car slid uncontrollably between two other cars?

Did I ever mention Dave Blaney is my favorite driver? And JPM is, by far, my least favorite. This situation has the potential to be awesome.

I don't think even Blaney has himself as his driver in Fantasy Nascar.

Hopefully it doesn't end this way. That would be a pretty massive joke.

Holy bats. Turn to Raw for a little while, go back and it's the end of Rollerball.

I find it kind of funny that the reason they didn't race last night was NASCAR being worried about the race ending to late and now its going to end around midnight eastern time or so.

Jesus, that was quite the fire after Montoya's car broke on him. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but man, that was some fun television, with the Tide scrbbing to clean the track, and Fox having to kill like 90 minutes. The on-track interviews with the drivers were great fun.

Penske announced he's switching to Ford in 2013.  So, I'm guessing this means the end of Dodge in Cup, the only other operation running dodges is Robby Gordon who was quoted at one point as saying he was thinking of selling his team.

Too bad, because the earlier pictures of the 2013 NASCAR Dodge Charge made it appear totally badass while looking close to stock.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gordon switching manufacturers, perhaps back to Toyota. It's going to be at the point later this season where Gordon can show up and make the race with fields dwindling to 43 cars or less, so it's pretty much a built in paycheck each week for his racing ventures.

HOLY CRAP to Kurt Busch's paint scheme for Talladega.

Spoiler

All we need is Jacques Villeneuve driving the Perrier car.
