Campaign group Operation Black Vote has complained to Spanish insurance firm Groupama Seguros about an advert in Spain featuring the goalkeeper.

Reina means "queen" in Spanish. The gag is that Reina ends up in deepest darkest Africa on holiday. The tribal chief thinks he's a Queen. Y'know, because Reina means Queen. It's for travel insurance. It's pathetic point scoring from a previously irrelevant group who are trying to tie their wagon to recent events.

I'd file this under "Spain is kind of stupidly behind the times in regards to racism". Probably up until the 70's this would be OK in England and the USA. Not a Liverpool supporter but I don't think there is much to see here.

Did you guys catch the Bahrain-Indonesia match? Bahrain was tied with Qatar but -9 on goal difference. Wouldn't you just know it? Bahrain won 10-0. Indonesia had a player sent off in the 2nd minute and Bahrain were awarded 4 penalties. If they had converted more than 2/4 they would have been fine but Qatar paid off Iran...err...THRILLINGLY EQUALIZED in the 87th minute to progress.
