And Harley Quinn will always be Arleen Sorkin.

...except when she's Tara Strong.

Can't we all just agree that Davey Richards is worse than Hitler?

I know you're being facetious, but at least Hitler could work a crowd.

I think I have a different reaction to this than some of you people.  I don't think I have ever consciously chosen a voice for any character in any book or comic ever (unless trying to hear the songs in The Hobbit and LOTR as if they were being sung by Ronnie James Dio counts.)

For me, when I read Batman, it's an involuntary thing, he just sounds like Kevin Conroy's Batman.

Well fuck this place. It took 144 characters or less to kill all the buzz we'd built up in this thread. "We take pro wrestling seriously" sounds like code for Davey Richards vs. Davey Richards in a Davey Richards on a pole match. Inside a Steel Davey Richards.

So, I started a blog....https://farwell3d.wordpress.com/

For some reason I hear Strongbad's voice whenever I read a Batroc story.

For Batroc the Leaper I always hear Sir David Jason, using one of the goofy French accents he used on "Danger Mouse."

Between the time he first appeared in the YJ tie-in comic and when he appeared on the show, I was utterly convinced the Joker should sound like James Urbaniak's David Bowie impression.

...actually, a younger Bowie would've made a hell of a live-ac Joker, too.

A younger Christopher Walken would have made a good one, too.

And see, for me it's primarily involuntary too.  The first time I saw the modern Plastic Man (in his guest shot in Power of Shazam!) just out of nowhere I realized I was hearing Matt Frewer's voice in my head.  It's not really an intentional thing, so much as I know the character's "real" when I can hear their dialogue in my head.

Flipping through JSA: Golden Age on the release of Earth 2 (which I am not buying) reminded me that whether he's 20 or 80, classic Alan Scott will always sound like Neil Ross to me.

Since Alan Scott is based on Alan Ladd, that's usually who I think of when reading his dialogue in print.
