Well, GOD DAMN, one vote?  ONE?  We couldn't get TWO more people to vote for Wally?

Fuck.

I'll make it worse. Had I known this was on, I would have voted Wally.

It's all my fault.

Can't we all just agree that Davey Richards is worse than Hitler?

I know you're being facetious, but at least Hitler could work a crowd.

Don't feel bad had I known that was going on I would voted for Spider-man, negating your vote anyways.

I LOVE that Natural is such a nice easy going guy... and then some one says "Shia LeBeouf" and Mr Hyde emerges with a vengeance.

"Sins Past" was worse. As boneheaded as OMD was, it at least indirectly led to a Spidey renaissance.

Yeah, I tried to read the Brand New Day Spidey post-OMD, and found myself full of so much rage that I think I got maybe 3 issues in before pretty much giving up.

I just can't read the character anymore.  I'm not boycotting it, or telling other people not to, but OMD ruined Spider-man for me.

Well fuck this place. It took 144 characters or less to kill all the buzz we'd built up in this thread. "We take pro wrestling seriously" sounds like code for Davey Richards vs. Davey Richards in a Davey Richards on a pole match. Inside a Steel Davey Richards.

So, I started a blog....https://farwell3d.wordpress.com/

If you skip ahead a bit, it's really worth it Brian. BND sucked to me until...592 or so? There's an arc with the Fantastic Four addressing Spidey's identity that was terrific, and pretty much everything from there until Big Time was as good as or better than the majority of Spidey stories from the past few years. I hated the marriage reversal more than most, but I freaking loved The Gauntlet, Grim Hunt, and Origin of Species and would rank them among the best Spidey stories ever.

If nothing else, hunt down the Rhino two parter.

I recommend The Amazing Spider-Man: Big Time (The Amazing Spider-Man #648-651) and The Amazing Spider-Man: Matters of Life and Death (The Amazing Spider-Man #652-657 and The Amazing Spider-Man #654.0). Superb books.

Waid and Slott have made it really good.  One of those books I need to catch up on if I decide to start "chasing the paper dragon" again.  I even heard Spider-Island was really good as well

Slott's run has been a lot of fun. I suspect your mileage may vary depending on how much you like Slott's approach to comics writing. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed it plenty. I just don't love it the way some do.

The Juggernaut sequel was great and I went in skeptical. But the part where Juggernaut recounts his time getting out of the cement was his best moment ever.

Read Animal Man and Batwing #8. Animal Man contiues along with the current Rot storyline nicely. Curious to see where thigns will go considering the end of the issue. Batwing was a solid conclusion to the Kingdom arc. Overall I can't say there was much in the way of surprises, particularly with the reveal of Massacre's identity, but I thought the writing was generally solid with at least one issue or two being really good. That said, I think they could and probbly should cut this one short an issue or two as it honestly began to drag a few issues ago. Also I think this wasn't the best story to start out with as we really haven't gotten to truly live in David's world yet outside of the first issue. Hopefully the book will last long enough to build it up.

Read Aquaman #7 along with the #8s for Action, Detective, JLI, Red Lanterns, Men of War, Static Shock, & Swamp Thing. Aquaman was pretty much all set up and not written in a particularly interesting manner. It was nothing bad, but nothing really worthwhile yet either. I liked certain parts of Action Comics, but on the whole this arc didn't do much for me. I did like who Clark's informant was. I didn't quite expect it. Also I did like what was done with Luthor in this the way he explained his more or less screwing everyone over. It was an interesting viewpoint. Detective Comics was ok. The story for Scarecrow was more or less a one and done, but felt like it could and probably should have been more considering the elements invovled. I did like Daniel wrote Scarecrow here. Wouldn't mind seeing him get another crack at him later. The Two-Face back read decently, not sure where its going yet thoguh I think I'm interested. Justice league International was relatively decent. I like this new group of villians forming. It seems like the perfect foil for a UN sanctioned JL. Batwing's intro could have been a little better though it wasn't bad. Not sure how he will fit on the team yet. Definitely interested in seeing where they are going with this book. Static Shock made me feel sorry for Marc Benardin. His second a last issue of Static was clearly meant to be a true new beginning the way he delves into Virgil's past and tries to set up a new high school life for him. Sucks that the book ends just as it finally began. Red Lanterns still doesn't read as well to me as I would like, but the book is improving. The current story with Abysmus is interetsign enough and I like the Earth based Red Lantern, Rankoor and how he tries to fight the rage. Swamp Thing was pretty much all about Alec getting to be badass. it felt a bit on the shor tside though as a result. It will likely read better in trade.

I liked JLI #8 too. I feel like Jurgens has found his footing. Digging the new villians and Godiva continues to be my MVP.
