Just got around to reading this.

So, is Magnus shagging Mickie James now?
Loathe him or hate him, you can't argue with what Fergie has achieved in 26 years at Old Trafford - single-handedly turning United from a much-loved, much-admired club into probably the most reviled in world football... At 71 years of age, Fergie has seen it all, and drunk most of it. Now he intends to enjoy retirement in the best way possible - by watching his successor struggle to match his achievements.
David Moyes had been widely talking about as becoming the next United boss by wildly hopeful Premier League chairmen. Yesterday their prayers were on the verge of being answered. Well, all those except for those of Tony Fernandes who is praying someone stupid buys his players.

- Derek McGovern, The Daily Mirror.

You want it both ways. You want to have your cake and fucking eat it to. You want to fuck the shit out of that cake, and have that cake get your family's approval. I'm not sure which way to go on this one... it might be a chance for you to learn an early lesson in not giving a fuck what other people think. A lesson every man has to learn sooner or later.

- The Ultimate Warrior, responding to a reader who asked if it was OK to start dating his cousin.

Magnus' column is still going in though, right?

It's wierd, because Apter's was always interesting, and Storm's was always interesting, whilst Reynolds' was... well, crap, frankly.

Liking the way you're incorporating cultural studies into the Wrestling analysis. Are you going to update Barthes' mythologies one of these days?

Yes, Magnus' column remains. We'll be announcing the new columnists shortly.  :)

The cultural studies, as you put it, are really interesting to apply to wrestling; we like to get you thinking!

For a split second and on first glance, I thought that was Hacksaw Jim Duggan on the cover. Anyway, I look forward to grabbing a copy of this and heading to my local Nando's in about 140 minutes time.

Having read about half of it so far-

I like the redesign, everything looks a lot neater and more professional with the white background, and is a far cry from the days of articles illustrated with MS Paint drawings of Hulk Hogan on a field of nauseating pixels (although that was a long while back, and can't have been quite as bad as I'm remembering it).

The FCW article was good, though mainly focused on guys with fairly high profiles who most people would expect to get a call up in the next year or so. Would've been good to see at least a quick rundown of some of the more borderline
candidates for a future in WWE, especially when Hero and Claudio have had articles to themselves so recently.

The Stone Cold column is a hell of a coup for the magazine, and while his piece this month was more of an introduction, it's great to know he still has the enthusiasm for wrestling to want to write it in the first place, and I'm looking forward to the next one he does. Chilled out, post retirement Austin is awesome.

I was reading the James Storm article while watching Lockdown (Only so many hours in the day, and Crimson vs Matt Morgan didn't deserve my full attention) and had to laugh at the disclaimer about how deadlines were a bitch, but Storm was surely going to win the Title.

Haven't had a chance to read Jim Cornette or several of the DVD and show reviews yet, but overall, the mag's keeping up the high standards of the last year or so, and is much easier on the eye. Throw in a bit more Japan coverage and dream up some spurious excuse to feature Kaitlyn regularly and it should have Best Wrestling Magazine sewn up.

I pronounce this magazine good~!

That Mad Man Manson 'One to Watch' feature is hilarious. Finlay article was interesting too. Good stuff all round, really. One question, if Austin's column is bi-monthly, does that mean you have another columnist to cover his off months?

And I know it's not really anything to do with the magazine, but the advert for a show doing a 'Premier League of Wrestling' gimmick seems really intruiging - to the point I'm actually thinking about rounding up some guys and hiring a minibus, so we can be the away fans and support Team Stoke.

I really love that the Wrestlemania coverage doesn't try to pretend that the WWE is the only wrestling company in the World.

Let me guess next month's cover star... Daniel Bryan?
Loathe him or hate him, you can't argue with what Fergie has achieved in 26 years at Old Trafford - single-handedly turning United from a much-loved, much-admired club into probably the most reviled in world football...
