It seems that it would be a good sign that the folks with the money are advising to hold off until the financing is on the up-and-up rather than the traditional upstart strategy of forging ahead with insufficient funds - and a great sign that Davis is actually listening to them. The 'kicking and screaming' is just bullshit posturing to make the fans feel better about having to wait, IMO.

Well, yes, there is that. My prediction is still that they do one show - maybe two, it the book a Friday and Saturday of the same weekend - with the matches taped as a pilot for a TV spot. Which never materializes.

Well it's not like it's not hard to imagine investors balking at giving money to wrestling companies.
I mean there was Jim Cornette conning Rick Ruben out of his money, every major star left in WCW post-1998 conning Panda Energy out of theirs, Paul Heyman conning money from anything that moves, etc. etc. If a promoter ever came to me, I'd shoot him before he'd walk out the door just to make sure he never came back.

For those who have asked, I haven't heard of any talents that have received the promised "addendum" to their contracts that Sean Davis informed the roster about several weeks ago via email.
Most of the wrestlers I've spoken to in the last few days are taking a "wait and see" attitude, but with each passing day, they are less and less enthused with the potential of the project.
I have heard that there is still movement internally with the WWP project, so we'll see what comes of it.
