K-ON! Season 2 Confirmed!
I really liked 2008's K-ON! anime so the fact that it is getting another season makes me smile... Now if we could just get more Kannagi...

That's pretty cool. I hope we hear a similar announcement for Asu No Yoichi, just because it was so fun.
I always knew it wouldn't be long before a fighter goes legal on the athletic commissions for their ineptitude.
Never in a million years did I think Nick Diaz would be that fighter.

Sounds excellent. The one question: How much more can they put into a sequel to K-ON? I liked the first season, but the manga doesn't seem to have that much that'd seem interesting.
Too lazy to rehost sig. Back...eventually. Maybe.

Well the overall goal of the band was to play Budokan BEFORE they graduate high school so there is plenty of story left to tell. Also as long as the manga keeps chuggign along and the fanbase strong it was impossible NOT to make another season of it.
Side note: The episode 14 OVA that acts as ween seasons 1 & 2 has been out since January 20th and is out there subbed. So get your cute on with K-On! episode 14!

I'm not saying on not having enough based on goal form. The question I'd have in this situation is the timing that comes into play:
As people who watch enough anime [like DVDAR members] probably know by now, high school in Japan goes for three years, not four like in the US. That fact leads to the timing question here:
-We start the series with them all as first-years [re: HS sophomores] starting in the club. That goes through for the first half of the show.
-Azu-nyan comes in around the halfway point of the first season. This is said in the manga/in the anime that it's a new year [meaning the four original main characters are in their second year of high school, or would be HS juniors in the US.]
-By the time that the anime ends and the manga picks up, they're heading into their third year of high school...meaning that the new season's going to be following the four main heroines as seniors in high school. There, you have the timing problem.

It all boils down to how they want to move through this season. I fully expect we will be getting an episode with Azunyan being sad that th others are graduating. Not sure how far the manga goes but it doesn't have a real continuing narrative due to its format (4 panel gag manga). I assume it will end like Lucky Star did with the fab 4 graduating with Azunyan continuing the club.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things play out ;)
