Premiering tonight?  What, is it a relaunch?  It's been airing for weeks on Friday nights, but it went on hiatus until the end of November.

I've been watching it, and it's okay.  The last episode or two, I think it's kinda hit its stride.  Peter Dinklage (sp?) from "The Station Agent" is in it, and he's the best part of the show.  I'd say it's slightly above average and say give it a shot for a little while.

Yeah it's worth checking out. It's pretty much standard sci-fi fare but it has a great supporting cast (Brent Spiner, Charles Dutton and that midget) and Carla Gugino is hot as hell.

Of the three similar sci-fi shows this season, I'd have to say that Surface is the best, followed by Invasion, then Threshold.

Eeeew.  I watched Surface for the first 3 episodes and hated it.  All the characters were cookie-cutter, straight out of central casting bores.  The teenage characters' dialogue was like something a focus group would come up with, the female lead, a smart and spunky single mom but still has big boobies and manages to wear tank tops for every occasion, the earnest redneck just trying to find out what happened to his brother...ugh.

The characters in Invasion are easily the best of the three, with Threshold being hit and miss, and Surface being the weakest of the three. Looks clearly go to Threshold, but I'd have to give Surface the edge on premise. Giant sea monsters living in volcanos in the middle of the earth and cute pet version is much more intriguing to me than body snatcher aliens, again.
