NEWS
Naohiro Hoshikawa’s father Sakae stated today at Korakuen Hall that his son is rehabbing nicely from his head injury last year and that he is working up to 3-4 hours a day. He said that his son’s dream is to return to the ring one day but he has a lot of work left to do.
ZERO-ONE MAX announced over the weekend that Minoru Fujita, Ikuto Hidaka, & Masato Tanaka would be coming to the United States during the last couple of weeks in November and would be working shows in the Northeast.

7. GHC Jr. Heavyweight Title: KENTA beat SUWA in 14:46 with the Busaiku Knee Kick to retain his title. KENTA called up Katsuyori Shibata who was sitting at ringside to come in the ring after the match and asked Shibata if he wanted to form a tag team in the future, which Shibata agreed and they shook hands. Shibata said that the next time NOAH fans would see him, he would be in his wrestling attire.
8. Kenta Kobashi & Akira Taue defeated Jun Akiyama & Genichiro Tenryu in 19:20 when Taue used the I AM TAUE on Akiyama. Taue said after the match that it is always great to fight with Kobashi and not against him and he said that he is ready to challenge for the GHC Heavyweight Title again. Kobashi said after the match that he thinks that he & Taue could also challenge for the GHC Tag Titles in the future.
9. GHC Heavyweight Title: Takeshi Rikio beat Mitsuharu Misawa in 22:10 with the Muso to retain his title. Rikio asked the fans after the match who they wanted to see him to defend the title against next and the leading candidate was Taue, which Rikio said that he would nominate Taue to be the next opponent for his title. Rikio said that beating Misawa was a big victory for his career and that he was proud to defend his title against him.
ZERO-ONE 9/19 – Korakuen Hall drawing 1,700 fans (Naohiro Hoshikawa Benefit Show)
1. Takuya Sugawara beat Osamu Namiguchi in 4:22 with the Shiisanpuuta. Sugawara said after the match that he shouldn’t be facing “green boys” and demanded that Minoru Fujita come out. Fujita came out and Sugawara said that the next time he wrestles in a Z1 ring, Fujita better be in it against him.
2. Ryouji Sai & Hirotaka Yokoi defeated Kamikaze & Takehiro Murahama in 10:17 when Sai used a la magistral on Kamikaze.
3. Chris the Bambi Killer & Hardkore Kidd beat Rikiya Fudo & Yoshito Sasaki in 13:02 when Kidd used the Manhattan Driver on Fudo.
4. Decision Match for the vacant ZERO-ONE US Title: Alex Shelley defeated Sonjay Dutt in 12:34 with the Shell Shock to win the title.
5. Mitsuhiro Matsunaga battled Kohei Sato to a no contest in 6:44 when Hirotaka Yokoi interfered because Matsunaga was poking Sato with a fork causing a lot of blood. Yokoi said that he would face Matsunaga in a Barbed Wire Boards match if Matsunaga is up for it.
6. Emblem (Shinjiro Otani & Masato Tanaka) battled Toshiaki Kawada & Takao Omori to a 30:00 draw. Kawada said that he would work for ZERO-ONE anytime that he could and that Shinya Hashimoto should be proud of what his promotion has become.
7. Wataru Sakata/Tatsuhito Takaiwa/Tigre Imperial (Kotaro Suzuki) beat Minoru Fujita/Ikuto Hidaka/KENTA in 22:19 when Takaiwa used the Death Valley Driver on Fujita. Takaiwa thanked all of the wrestlers and fans for taking part in the benefit show for Hoshikawa and said that Hoshikawa will return to the ring one day.
