Holy shit, this is tonight? And, what the fuck, Cantwell vs Stann? Am I crazy or has this happened like 6 times already? What is this, best out of 7?

Its only happened twice before, this being the rubber match.

Oh how I would love Brian Stann if he snapped Cantwell's arm and then ran around the Octagon going, "Broke! Broke! Broke!" Tonight we will see if training at Jackson's has helped Stann out (pssst, someone tell him MMA ain't solely boxing).
Brock Larson is officially the Welterweight Yushin Okami.

I got the sarcasm, but I wasn't sure if you thought it was more than 2 or not. And both those fights happened outside of the UFC anyway.

Larson needs to lose a disappointing fight against someone like Jon Fitch (again) and constantly injure himself before his scheduled fights for that to happen.
I agree that Larson is a beast and a top guy at welterweight. But he would need a couple more wins over bigger name opponents to be considered viable for a title shot against GSP. I think it should've been him to face Kampmann after Swick dropped out.

How did Condit survive that first round? Ellenberger was throwing some crazy bombs.

We already knew this but. Melvin Guillard: World's Dumbest Man.

Larson, seriously? Dude was the heaviest favorite on the card and drops a decision. Amazing.

This. Why the fuck he tried to get cute with his fake out and then just fall into Diaz's guard, I'll never know. A suspicious person would say he wanted a way out of that fight.

I agree that Guillard is definitely not the smartest fighter in the world but I don't buy that he was looking for a way out, he was winning the fight up until that point.
It was basically your typical Nate Diaz win, he gets his ass whooped for a round in a half until his opponent gets too cute and tries for shit they shouldn't and he catches them in a submission. It was the same way in the Pellegrino fight, Kurt was winning hands down until he over committed and got caught.

The sad thing is before that boneheaded move by him he looked a lot better in the cage.

EXACTLY. I was watching that, thinking that he had really grown as a fighter and he wasn't doing anything stupid to just lose the fight. He was butt scooting to the cage, not laying in Diaz's guard, put together some nice combinations, etc. Sadly enough though, I kept waiting for him to be dumb, and sure enough, he did about the dumbest thing I've seen in a cage in a long time.

HOLY MOLY!!! Talk about getting your money's worth. We got 11 fights tonight. 11! That was amazing. Great card with the only bummer being Crocop (who still lasted longer than anyone gave him a chance).

Urgh. I guess it's safe to say Mirko's done. It's not his technique, age or what not. His heart just isn't into fighting anymore.

He was getting beat up quite a bit by Dos Santos. He could have found a way out much earlier if he had no heart. He got cracked in the eye socket several times so it's not like he just gave up over nothing.
He's old in fighting years, his technique hasn't evolved, he doesn't know how to fight in a cage still, and Junior Dos Santos is a beast. I'd like to see him in there with a decent wrestler next as he continues to climb the ladder.
A great night of fights and Vitor Belfort continued to look how he has since moving to 185. He's not passive now, he's patient. He's waiting for the openings, finding them, and kills people. I know Dana is talking about Silva/Belfort but I actually might be in the minority thinking that fight would be incredibly boring. I don't see either really wanting to engage and Silva being content to just stay on the outside and outpoint Vitor.

Does Cro Cop train in an actual camp, or does he have his own gym he trains out of? He was the only guy of the night that had no sponsors, seemed like very little entourage in his corner. Is he a guy that just trains XYZ whether he has a fight or not and walks in off the street and gets in the cage? That's what it seemed like to me. I mean, he couldn't get a couple grand from some one to wear their t shirt? He wore a pride shirt he probably got for free 5 years ago.
I'm glad that Vitor got the win. I'd have hated to see another Franklin fight go to decision.
The black dude that fought Kampman had some long arms and big shoulders. Can't wait to see him fight again.
Does Trigg even get another fight? What do they do with Koshchek? I doubt Hughes wants to fight him.
Franca and Griffin looked pudgy for 155. Griffin's saggy mid section was bouncing around all fight, and Franca had his trunks hiked up to his nipples to cover his gut.
I'm thinking Shogun/Franklin after Shogun gets tooled by Machida.
Randy/Vera = waste of time. I hope its not the main event.

I think that Trigg will get 1 more fight, most likely on the prelims. If the fight is a main card fight then it would be on a Fight Night type of card.
