Hi. I know this is a noob question, but I'm just starting to follow UK (and European) wrestling, and I don't have a clue what the pecking order for promotions is. What promotions should I be following? I can't really get a sense for who is at the top, and who isn't.

Right now, I'm watching some 1PW. Interesting, with what seems to be a good mix of UK talent. But they also seem to rely a lot on US imports. On the other hand, I like Sterling James Keenan well enough, so any promotion that puts the belt on him is fine with me.

I also am marking hard for the Kartel. Really like some of the heel stuff I've seen from them, though my first exposure was Chikara. Because of that, I've been digging into IPW:UK.

Does this cover it? What other promotions should I be seeking out.

IPW:UK is pretty aimed to be followed as episodic viewing, however with their infamous dvd churning out system you'd be hard pushed to follow them by DVD, so live shows are your best bet. Personally SAS are a very fun group to follow, and are probably the closest to a CHIKARA style group over here.

Mark Sloan is promoting an event with Kota Ibushi on it which has a superb line up.
