Just got back from another action packed PWF card. Great show as usual. Here are the results:
Barry Cooper vs Mark Sloan
At the last event in Worthing these two squared off in what i would term a marmite match, you either loved it or hated it but there was no heat for it at all. This time the crowd went mental for Barry Cooper and really set up the match with their enthusiasm. The two traded holds before slamming each other and both booting each in the midsection. Mark tried cheating but it was to no avail as referee Steve Grey was always watching him. During the break of the third fall Cooper poured a bottle of water down the back of Marks trunks causing Mark to get soaked. Very funny. As Mark got more frustrated heading into round 6 Cooper used his momentum against him by pinning him with a schoolboy. Whilst Mark argued with the referee Cooper just rolled him up for a surprise 123 in round 7. Winner Cooper. These two I can see having a 3rd match for the Welterweight Championship at perhaps the July 13th Brighton Centre show or during the six week summr season. Fun match well worth the price of admission alone.
Eamonn O'Neill vs Crazy Horse
PWF debut of Crazy Horse... what is this guys gimmick, its fantastic. Eamonn debuted at the St Patricks Day PWF show against Doug Williams.
These two just trade holds for the first round with neither gaining a clear advantage. During the break
Crazy Horse flips out when he is offered water and demands some mead... classic. In the second round Horse starts pounding on Eamonn until he is whipped off the turnbuckle with a sunset flip for the first fall in round 2. In round 3 Horse comes back pounding with more ferocity and starts clubbing Eamonns neck and wrenching it before locking on a cobra clutch. Eamonn submits for Horses first fall in round 3 but due to not releasing the hold when asked is given his first public warning. In round 4 things get ugly as Horse knocks out Eamonns tooth and bloodies him up a bit *PWF have a policy of no blood* but Eamonn fights back with reversal of a top rope suplex and a flying dropkick for the 1,2,3.
Good match
Robbie Brookside vs Drew McDonald
Great match, these two just worked the crowd perfectly Robbie won the first round with a tree of woe followed by a running baseball slide dropkick. Then McDonald used the ropes to choke out Brookside gaining his first public warning then goes and injures brooksides leg by tying his leg up in the ropes and hyper extending the knee. This garners his second public warning but the damage is done and he locks on a single leg boston crab for the submission in rounf 4. Then in round 5 with brookside still on the mat mcdonald apples the hold again and brookside submits again giving mcdonald the win.
Fantastic.
Dan Head vs Mark Haskins
All i need say is Haskins does his cocky little gobshite act and makes himself highly unpopular. So Dan Head comes out and just dismantles him much to the delght of the kids at ringside. Winner head.
Great show.
Only £10 admission for a brilliant night of entertainment. Well worth the price.
