Teaser from next week's episode.
To be more specific, Michael says it to Karen when they meet.
And yeah, this episode was just super. Both Stanley and Toby being disappointed by news of the branch staying open was such a great contrast to Michael's joy and really helps to show why they can't stand each other.
I'm really hoping the producers cut has something from Creed about the branch closing. I can imagine so many phenomenal lines in my head and the Office writers are obviously a ton more imaginative than me.

Yeah, this was a great episode. Aside from Jim's line about Michael being a loyal guy, Michael's speech about his employees not growing on farms highlighted how much Michael really cares about the people around him, even if he is a social cripple.

I initially misread this as "So many pharmaceutical lines", particularly appropriate as it was Creed we are talking about here :) Seriously, I wish I had taped this one, this is by far the best episode ever. Favorite moment is near the end when Dwight and Michael get the news and are cheering "We did it! We Did it!", then stop and wonder "How did we do it?"

Actually, on further reflection, the last scene with Dwight and Michael ("We did it! We did it! ... how did

Question for anyone, what exactly is Meredith's position in the office? I never thought it was defined persay, kind of like how it's clearly defined that Kevin, Oscar, and Angela are the accountants while Jim, Dwight, Phyllis, and Stanley are in sales. Pam is the receptionist, Toby is in HR, and Ryan, up until recently, is the temp who does a little of everything, while Creed, Kelly, and Meredith never really have defined roles in the workplace. However, I was rewatching season 1 today, and during The Alliance when Michael is planning on throwing a birthday party for Meredith he mentions her as being in accounting. Is that her actual role, or was that a minor screw-up, because in the season 2 Halloween episode Oscar clearly states that there is one department that has three people (Oscar, Kevin, and Angela) doing the work of one, and it's accounting?

Andy & Karen are Sales. Jim is/was Stamford Assistant Regional Manager and sales.
Ryan, Dwight, Phyllis and Stanley are sales.
Kevin, Angela & Oscar are accounting.
Creed is quality assurance.

Probably a retcon ... I wasn't sure if the Creed as Quality Assurance was in canon as it was from a deleted scene from the booze cruise, where he talks about being guitar player for the Grassroots (which Creed Bratton actually was) and is now QA for a paper company. "Drugs played a part ... my average work call is 90 seconds, and that is as long as I can maintain my attention span."

Besides the incredible "Future Dwight" opening, my faveorite moment was something really small.
When Michael and Dwight are riding to NY, and Dwight mentions how he's been mailing Christmas cards to the head honcho every year.
Michael:
"But you've never even MET him."
Dwight :
"And when I do, we'll have something to talk about."
Then smiles smugly right into the camera, in such an undeniably "Dwight" manner. Shit had me laughing for minutes, because it was just so consistant with his charactor.

OK, I thought you meant none of the links were working. I guess the producer's cut just isn't available in Canada. I've noticed all the US networks that put episodes up on their website have them blocked in Canada. I haven't seen the producer's cut on any torrent sites (not even sure if the video could be ripped from the NBC site anyways) so it looks like us Canucks could be SOL until the DVD comes out next summer.

Had a busy weekend and just got to the DVR of last week's episode tonight and holy balls it was tremendous. The opening bit with "Future Dwight" is seriously one of the funniest things I've ever seen on the show. I fell in love with this show during season two but it's really hitting its stride now in 3. They are knocking it out of the park every single week.

Don't forget, we're SUPERSIZED tonight!
here's the preview
The Scranton branch and the Stamford branch of Dunder-Mifflin are merged, bringing old friends Jim and Pam back together after months apart. Michael and Dwight and the other employees deal with the changes. Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, B.J. Novak, Melora Hardin, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nuņez, Phyllis Smith, Paul Lieberstein and Mindy Kaling also star. Ed Helms ("The Daily Show"), Rashida Jones ("Wanted"), Ursula Burton ("The West Wing"), Mike Bruner ("C.S.I") and Wayne Wilderson ("The Class") guest star
I'm somewhat torn on the whole situation, as bringing in new people isn't always the best thing... however seeing a whole new group of people react to the Assistant to the Regional Manager is bound to be gold

The dwight/andy war will be awesome. Both characters are so over the top and in every scene they shared i swear it felt like almost a send-up of "Oz"; so much so that i was mentally playing the weird "Oz sounding woodwind pipe sound" after every face off.

I'm glad they kept the show in Scranton. I didn't want to hear people bitch all the time in town about how they "took the show away". They actually had a city council member (or something equal to that) on the news, talking about how Rainn Wilson was coming to town, and he would be chased OUT of town if the show left Scranton. And then the mayor talked about providing funding or something. I wish I was making that up.

See, I feel the exact opposite way. I still love Pam, but she had her chance with Jim. He laid his feelings out for her and she turned him down, and only after he was gone realized how she truly felt for him. He's (seemingly) moved on now.
I think it has been some tremendous writing to make the audience like Karen, who could very easily be seen as the "evil other woman". But, she fucking rules.
