It was Dwight. Kevin said she looked like Pam from the neck down.

Ryan gained 1000 awesome points last night by having no further ambitions other then travelling and buying an XBox.

I think of Creed as The Office's version of Locke, only creepier. Loved the episode, and I was cringing when Michael took the mic. I also love the exchange between Stan and Michael.
"I don't celebrate Kwanza."
"Really? You should. It's fun."
Or something like that. I like how they go back to their old ways after pretzel day.

Edit: Fixed. I knew I was wrong when I typed it.

I took that as Ryan purposely trying to look bad in front of Kelly's parents. He never seems like he actually wants to date her, and Kelly's parents had been badmouthing him and trying to talk Kelly into being with that doctor. Ryan probably knows how they feel and wants to reinforce that he's the wrong guy for their daughter.

Really, Ryan probably has the most ambition of anyone in the office, attending business school on the side and all.

But the XBox line fits his charachter's maturity level. Remember he was the one that egg'ed the office the week before b/c they didn't like his sales pitch.

Oh God, you know this truly is the internet when people are speculating whether or not Pam was really texting Jim. So stupid.

Good to know you're this cranky other places, not just the IWC Message Board....

Yeah, Pam texted Jim. But the beauty of the show is how it makes us wonder whether she did or not.

I enjoyed this one. The Roy stuff was just heartbreaking. I saw the Michael kiss attempt coming a mile away, and also sat there the whole time shaking my head, thinking "No Michael... don't do it..."

This was one of those episodes where it made Dwight seem pretty normal-ish. He didn't "go after" Ryan, he was trying to goof off with him (he said he wanted to have a better relationship with Ryan than he had with Jim). He seemed oddly accepting of Kelly's culture, even trying to seriously explain Diwali and not doing it over-the-top like he usually does.

She sent her text when she was outside with Angela. The next shot was of Jim's cell phone vibrating on his desk, AS IF HE GOT A TEXT MESSAGE FROM SOMEBODY. I'm all for heaping praise on the best show ever, but they pretty explicitly showed us that Pam texted Jim, but Jim was asleep at his desk.

Remember how Dwight used to have a crush on Kelly during the first few episodes in season one? I'm sure he learned all that stuff just to impress her and it stuck in his head.

"Ok, here's what we're gonna do. Go around the room and everybody say a race that they find sexually attractive. I'll go last. Yes, Dwight?"

"I have two. White and Indian."

It's pretty good. It's got the Accountants webisodes, the fake PSA's ("$9.00 is way too much to pay for a beer. Just walk away"), a blooper reel, plenty of deleted scenes, around ten episode commentaries and a few other things.

Kelly's PSA : A lot of boys think they are sooooooooo great ... here's the deal. They're not.

Was watching the DVDs last night, Creed totally owns Conflict Resolution.

Michael : Ryan says that Creed has a distinct Old Man Smell
Creed : I know exactly what he is talking about. I like to sprout mung beans on a damp paper towel in my desk ... very nutritious, but it smells like death.

Michael : The office men's room is whites only ... now Stanley, you know that's not true.
Stanley : I didn't say that.
Creed : Then why is there a white man on the door?
BankHoldup
Yeah, Creed is probably my favorite character on the show as he's there for his one or two lines, but they're so ridiculous it's good. "That Angela...She's the office bitch. Hi, I'm Creed!" as he introduces himself to Meredith, despite the fact that's already worked in the same office with her for years. Even better, Creed then starts eating Angela's food. Awesome.

I'm think he actually introduces her as "Andrea" which is even funnier.

I let my friend borrow Season 2 the other day and he asked me whats up with the cameras following around the characters. I'm not totally sure what to tell him, since I missed the majority of season 1. Was this ever explained or are we suppose to assume theyre being filmed by the higher ups because of the potential branch shut down?

Don't explain anything. All you need to say is single camera comedies minus the laugh track trump every other comedy on TV.

The show's central conceit is that a documentary crew is filming the Dunder Mifflin staffers.

If you are going to purchase season 2, buy it at Circuit City. It has an extra behind the scenes making of the Booze Cruise episode not on other versions.

Found this over at OfficeTally....it's the first couple of minutes of this week's episode, as a preview from TVGuide.com. Beware that if you watch it, you will be spoiling the first two minutes or so. Click at your own risk.

Holy shit that was amazing.
primetiments
I love how different Angela is from her actual character, ditto with Kevin. Ridiculously eloquent. Rainn's "I am the new Bill Cosby" is golden.
Freeway
If they make Rashida Jones a series regular, it will get a million billion stars.
lucyisblue
This is going to be sooo good.

I am actually bothered because I won't be home tonight until 8:50, meaning I will not be able to watch tonight's episode live. Just from that short two minute clip, I get the feeling this is going to be an amazing episode.

NBC plans to post a special producer's cut of "The Office" at 11 p.m. on nbc.com. The episode will include additional scenes and footage not in the broadcast version, which airs at 7:30 p.m.

sucks that I can only get about 1/3 of the stuff from nbc.com to work on Macs. I could get half of the PSAs, but none of the summer webisodes.

Mmm...so much goodness in one episode and I don't know where to start. That was amazing though.

And I dare anyone to miss it next week (by choice, not chance).
DougN
Seriously, that was one of the best done shows. Top to bottom, I loved every second of it. The talking heads were some of the best, namely Michael's about the Phyllis farms and Stanley's about retirement.

Did anyone notice the return of the mung bean sprouts?
Beek
Dang I just hope Andy comes to Scranton
Lethal_Striker
The Karen/Jim/Pam situation is going to be a great addiition to the show. They kept Jim in Stamford about the perfect amount of time. Long enough for you to miss him from being part of Scranton and be able to do other side storylines but not long enough to overdo it.
PaulS
I really loved Stanley and Toby being disappointed that they would still have their jobs.

Pam's slipup about someone coming "back" to Scranton was great. So was her being all alarmed when Ryan said Jim coming back would be awkward thinking that it was about them when it was about Ryan replacing Jim.

This was balls out awesome from top to bottom but

had me HOWLING.
NickMD
I was laughing at Michael having "My Humps" as his ringtone. That was great.

And the look of disgust on Stanley's face at the end was priceless when he heard he was staying. His "Why, God, why?" look had me in stitches.
MGFanJay
That was even better than "Gay Witch Hunt" - top to bottom excellent episode, and we finally got to see Karen confess her feelings about Jim, and Jim showed that he respected Michael by saying he'd never stoop as low as Josh to succeed.
bannabop
The My Humps ring tone had me dying when I realized what it was.
PaulS
I can't believe I didn't mention "My Humps" here. I even IMed someone after it happened!

I'm a little worried that they didn't show Andy in the preview. If he isn't around, at least we're left with his breakroom tantrum.
Dave Offord
My fav part was during the role playing in front of the CEO's house... Dwight's acting was the funniest thing ever...

Can't wait to see how this pans out.. what a great top to bottom episode. Actually, isnt Ricky Gervas's ep. airing soon?

Yeah. It's the episode that'll air after Branch Merger. I think there's a week break in between, though.
Lethal_Striker
Week after Branch Merger is Thanksgiving, so I would definitely say you're right about a week inbetween eps.

Is the Ricky Gervais episode going to have the other characters from the British Office too ?

What an awesome episode.
Zubaz/GreggG
Yeah, seriously amazing episode. Hilarious and dramatic all at once. It kinda felt a little bit like The Booze Cruise where there's a lot of plot but the characterization and humor doesn't get lost at all. In fact, Jim's line about Michael perfectly defined his character and why everyone puts up with him: he's an ass, but he's a loyal ass.
Freeway
I'll say it.

"Branch Closing" was the best episode of The Office to date. So many dominos fell, and the entire thing was so fucking awesome.

I've been trying, but all the Office nerds must be going there at once. I think I'll try at 3AM or so.
