Creed's list of painkillers, admission of cult membership and leadership, PB&J stuff, Michael creating a walk with a length he was unaware of and that he couldn't finish, Toby winning despite Michael's sabotage attempt failing, and Dwight killing Angela's cat, followed by her being unbelievably pissed rocked.

Michael - Meredith was hit by a car today, the doctors did the best they could… and she’ll be okay.
Jim - One day Michael complained about a speed bump on the highway… I wonder who he hit then?
Michael - I’m not superstitious, but I’m a little-stitious.
Creed - I’m involved in a number of cults, both as a leader and a member.
Dwight - With the electricity we’re using for Meredith, we could power a small fan for two days.
(after viewing footage of Jim getting into Pam’s car)Pam - I was giving him a ride home… because we’re dating...
Jim - Wow!
Pam - …yeah, things are going really well, right?
Jim - Yes - things are going VERY well.
Pam - Michael, 5K means five kilometers, not five thousand miles..
Michael - Come in...
Pam (sees Michael without pants) - OH GOD!
Pam - On average, how many hours a day do you spend naked in your office?
Michael - Hey, in European offices, they’re always naked.
Pam - So not. I didn’t see where it started, I saw where it ended.
Jim - Eww.
Michael - I’m like Forrest Gump, only I’m not an idiot.
Jim (to Pam) - Want to go donate money to prevent a disease that’s already been cured?
Pam - Sure!
Michael (to Pam)- You don’t know me, you’ve just seen my penis.

Loved the episode. I can't believe how often I was laughing out loud. PB and J stuff was nice, and yes, I enjoyed the casual way they approached it. So many great lines, but my favorite one I can remember was "I am not superstitious, I'm only a little stitious." So much good stuff.

YES YES YES.
What an amazing premiere... in fact, with this and HIMYM knocking it out of the park this week, what a great week for TV.
Though I've only seen the new ep once.. is it just me, or was it really fucking weird to see PB & J together? It's something I have been excited about forever.. but actually seeing them kiss, hold hands, etc.. was just weird...
Maybe I'm the kind of guy who likes it when the babyface chases the title and not holds it..
Besides me thinking it was a bit weird.. and hell, that opinion can, and will probably, change after more viewings.. I just loved this episode.
And wait.. Creed is almost 80?

Yeah, this is kind of how I'm feeling about it. I almost figured we'd see them finally get together on the very last episode or maybe never at all, to be honest. Then again, it wouldn't shock me if they get married on the final episode ever.

Actually, I thought it was quite nice, and very well played as a "trying to keep it a secret" romance. Except for the sneaky car bit, but that was done more for comedy and the OOOOHHHH factor. The lagging behind the race and slipping their hands together was very real and natural. As others mentioned, I also like that it's a part of the show, but not the MAIN part of the show.
Last but not least, PB&J is a nice nod to the fangirls and "Jam"

The wife and I were discussing this and really there are two ways they could have done it. Had they actually waited until the final episode to get them together (which is how I had always anticipated it, frankly) that would've provided the show with a real sense of closure but at the same time we would have never actually gotten to *see* them together.
The other scenario would be the route they've taken and actually testing the waters on the relationship, which I think might make for an even more compelling show. Deep down we all really want to see them ripped apart again so that we can cheer for them to get back together again. I think its going to be a very unique season for the show.

To me, slightly disappointing, but only because of the high standards of the last two season premieres. I thought the whole run for rabies thing was pretty damned silly. But I did like that they were upfront about Pam & Jim right away, without going too far with the secret relationship angle.

http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/video/#mea=116284There's a deleted scene clip up covering Michael proposing various ways that the crash wasn't his fault (including him being drunk at 9 AM, leading to Kevin saying that's too early even for her), and wondering if Meredith hit him. Also, Kelly has gone completely insane about Ryan dumping her, which has me overjoyed to see him return to Scranton next week, and Toby's happy because she's been silent due to the breakup.

They really didn't miss a beat here. I thought the played the Pam/Jim relationship out perfectly. It's an inter-office relationship, so of course they're going to try to keep it secret, but they're so happy with each other that it's painfully obvious. The part where they stayed behind in the run so they could hold hands was just ridiculously cute and also very realistic.
Jim's looks toward the camera were a highlight for me this week. Especially after Creed started going off about the meds.
I don't want to repeat things that have already been mentioned, so I'll just say that I loved "...OK so one Sikh...", the fact that Michael didn't make the 5K race into a circle so they all ended up in the middle of nowhere, and Michael asking Kevin if he didn't want to run because he was embarassed to show off his fat legs.

The two best moments for me were
1) The very opening when Michael is trying to convince us how great it is being with Jan, as she is (in the immortal words of Lucile Watson from "The Women") "spread out on the bed like a swastika."...
"This...is what I have...to come home to...." It's particularly funny given how he was imagining his future domestic life in that same room when it was all empty and he was just about to close on the condo waaay back in season 1. I just really felt bad for him. But I also loved how territorial Jan got. She's through the looking glass. Which is odd...having Michael be the most normal one in a relationship.
2) Pam: "Michael, it's okay. There are other...better...people doing things to help."

There isn't much to offer that hasn't been said already, but I'm surprised at the lack of love for Sadiq the IT guy. I know Darryl is now a regular, but it would be tremendous if Sadiq were too as Michael would begin to have quite the rogues gallery with Toby, Ryan, and hopefully Sadiq.

I don't know. Based on the commentaries, they usually end up writing and shooting between 10 and 15 minutes of extra footage that gets cut per episode. Add that up over 22 episodes and it doesn't seem like they'll be straining for material any time soon.
Speaking of deleted scenes, I just watched the season 3 extras for the Beach episode and couldn't stop laughing for like five full minutes after watching Ed Helms try to chase down that SUV in his sumo suit.

I enjoyed tonight's episode a lot more than last week's. Creed+hair dye+slang = awesome! Ryan being even more of a prick than he was in S3 ruled, as did Jim pointing out that Ryan could get every girl... but his. Pam's artistic talents coming back was nice to see, and I also enjoyed this episode more than last week's. Jan being just as petty as Michael about Ryan getting her job (not not her title, on no!) and then acting like Michael does when he's foiled by trying to cover up being fired ruled, too. Michael's Miami Vice mention reminded me of the one made here in regards to Ryan, and I'm all for any kind of Miami Vice mention on TV in 2007.

It looks like they're setting up a big fall for Michael. I have a feeling between whatever strife ultimately infests the Jim/Pam thing and the company streamlining...that last voice-over with Michael smiling at all his people eating the gift basket food may be end up feeling like a bittersweet moment by the end of the season.

I am so ready for Ryan's full heel turn, straddling the fence is annoying me a little. I am ready to see total douche Ryan. Good show tonight that wasn't driven by the Pam/Jim interaction but that was still a definite highlight for me. I was really impressed with elements of this episode, as I never really gave much thought to how Jim & Pam getting together would effect the rest of the office and this episode really showed some different sides of people. Especially Toby, whose douchebaggery I did not see coming. Big props on the Creed swerve too, because when I saw the dyed black hair from the back, my immediate thought was that Michael had dyed and changed his hair in an attempt to look more like Ryan, like the time he went for the Jim look after the Booze Cruise. One part of the season I'm really digging on so far is Jan turning into a totally vindictive overprotective bitch - like the look of death she gave the stripper from the Ben Franklin episode, or the hilarious "nice beard...I hope you keep it forever" shot at Ryan.
