After several months with no resolution, NBC's The Office returns tonight and promises to resolve THE BIGGEST CLIFFHANGER EVAR~!
That's right. You all suck if you don't watch it somehow.

I read the preview on my digital guide and I'm 100% positive it's a swerve. (I won't mention what it said incase people avoid that type of thing)
In related Office news, my buddy in NY bought me the Season 2 DVD set today and got it autographed by both Jim and Pam as they were signing copies somewhere near him. He said Pam looked pretty pissed off to be signing autographs at 9am.:)

Gotta love Kevin giggling like a little kid and Toby dumbing it down for Michael as always.
When I saw the new cast line-up, that's pretty much what I assumed happened, but it's still pretty sweet and great for not falling into normal cliches.

Not that I am complaining. More is better.

"Oh, there's Oscar's roommate Gil, I wonder if he knows...". - genius
The stuff with Jim, Pam, and Roy was great, and once again, the facial expressions told the story (along with "what's to keep two people from being together?!"). Earl was good, this show was phenomenal. I have a feeling Jim will quit the uptight branch he's in now to go back to Scranton, and it was funny to see Ryan with the slicked back hair. I loved the gaydar at the end just going to "homo", and bringing back Jim's technology skills. He'll stop at nothing to torture Dwight, as long as it makes Pam laugh - even if he's hundreds of miles away. It was sad to see him in that lecture staring at the chair next to him, wishing Pam was there. The stuff with Angela and Oscar was also quite dramatic. I really thought Oscar was going to storm out and quit, and he'd have all the reason in the world to do so given Michael and her discrimination. Kudos to the creators for going so far with it.
Now - some caps.

That's Quincy's daughter? Man, I'm totally liking her.
I get this feeling I'm jumping on the bandwagon here, and I probably am, but I'm so sold on this show. It was just such a funny episode. The forced hug then kiss was so funny in its awkwardness.
The fangirls might be hoping for Jim and Pam to get back together, but I hope they do the slow burn to that if it happens at all. Personally, I'd rather they stay apart. I mean, not every love tale has to end in a happy way. But if they do put them back together, which is likely to happen, I just hope it's such a fantastic moment that every single viewer gets all warm and fuzzy about it.
Now how in the hell did Smackdown become the Google ad? This is puzzling.

As great as Michael's gay embrace was, I must say that Dwight trumped it. His awkward, yet aggressive attempt at hugging and kissing Oscar was the funniest thing, on TV or in real life, that I have seen in quite some time. I laughed so hard that I lost my breath.

Nah, I got it from newegg, at the recommendation of Hardcore Gamer's owner, since it takes excellent S-Video caps. I'll get the model number in a few and see what price it is elsewhere, since newegg was out of it the last time I checked. There are a lot of kinds available, and this one is good, except that it has a super-short audio cable - making it impossible to capture the audio of whatever you're capping.

Man, I loved this episode. I was happy with the way they went with the Jim/Pam storyline. You don't want to wrap that one up after just the second season. The looks and the facial expressions were great in this episode, which captured the perfect blend of hilarity and poignancy. I loved the typically weird Creed discussion on homosexuality, and Dwight's expression when Michael was speculating about Angela's sexuality. Jim fucking with Dwight from afar because it makes Pam laugh, followed by Pam's wistful look as the show ended was a great one/two punch. Not to mention that they made Roy at least semi-sympathetic instead of being content with making him just a one dimensional ass. Man, there were too many things I loved about this episode.

Totally. After looking at Roy as a tool for so many episodes, it was weird to actually have sympathy for him. I just did not expect that turn in his character, which does make the triangle that much more interesting.
Creed talking about his old love escapades and how a man could've hypothetically slipped in there had me rolling. The funniest line of the night for me, though there were quite a few.
Just seeing Oscar and Michael in that embracing, pre-kiss position for so long had me cracking up.
I thought Rashida Jones looked familiar. She was in Wanted, which I rapidly lost interest in.

Wow, this show got dark real quick. Lots of keeping people unhappy, jokes that make you as uncomfortable as the characters, and general bleakness (those few extra references to Dunder Mifflin's dire financial straits go a long way). Felt like this episode tried harder than any of the others to be like the original, with the tone and the willingness to pull the rug out from under its characters.
Some of the show just felt weird and awkward (especially the flashback), but that was bound to happen trying to tie up so many loose ends in one show. Overall I liked it a lot, but they're walking a fine line on the importance of Jim/Pam (I'm hoping it doesn't take over the entire structure of the show and give us another "Ross and Rachel" type thing).

Don't forget The Love Contract. I didn't even recognize her here, but I recognized her on Chappelle.
This just blew me away. I had to pause the tape at one point to exclaim "this FUCKING show."
I can't even mention a favourite part, but no one has mentioned Dwight kicking the air in defense of his woman after Oscar plowed through her hasn't been mentioned yet. OK, Creed's talking head was my favourite.
I thought they really handled Jam well. Also, Pam explaining how she had to get away from Roy and how Roy realized he took her for granted was so logical and great that only this show could've done it. And Pam gazing longingly at Ryan because he was in Jim's spot. And Pam and Roy eating the plates of food for the next five weeks. So, so great. I can't believe they pulled off everything flawlessly.

Amazing episode. Just AMAZING.
I never expected it but I'm totally into getting Roy and Pam back together now instead of Jim getting her. In fact, I big time turned against Jim in this episode for his decisions. He did what he needed to do, Pam was too stupid and immature to admit her true feelings so that's her fault. He shouldn't have transfered b/c of that! He should have stayed and just had her see what she is missing out on. Roy ended up coming out the best here b/c he knows he needs to change and seems to be willing to do it. I think by the end of the season people will be begging for Roy/Pam instead of Jim/Pam.
One thing I'm not sure if a lot of people picked up on is Jim had a different sandwich at his new company. So he's gone through a ton of changes which used to be his main fear, right? Ryan pointed it out in an older episode. But now that he's made the changes, he works in an office he hates and is more lonely than ever. It's just a subtle planting of the seed for his eventual return to 'normalcy' before the end of the year. At least in my opinion...
Creed's line was killer. I'd love to see interaction between Dwight and Creed at some point.
The gaydar joke was fantastic although the closing shot of Pam pretty much summed up the change in the way I will look at the show now. Last year I might have felt sorry for her but now I was just looking at her with pity. Awww... poor Pam... she has two guys who like her but is too immature to pick one over the other and/or is too stubborn to admit her true feelings. Why should I feel bad for her?
Here's hoping Jim returns to Scranton soon with a hot new girlfriend.:)

I absolutely love how they are handling Roy. In the first season, they were making him out to be a complete dick, and now, he's just a normal guy who can get a little controlling of his fiancee and he's realized what he lost and I really don't see how you could hate him or anything at this point. It's blatantly obvious he's not right for Pam, but still. The fight for Pam is on~!
