Nearly everything on the show that didn't involve Show carrying Jericho sucked in some way. The opening segment went on forever - I don't care how many times they referenced it going on for a long time, that didn't make it anymore tolerable. Miz-Santino was amusing thanks to Santino's thumbs down bit before the match, and the SKULL CRUSHING FINALE name for the full-nelson facebuster. The divas tag was enjoyable thanks to Mickie throwing awesome punches, upskirt shots of her, and Beth's tits looking enormous in her top.
The tag title match dragged on, and I'm not a big fan of Jerishow's reign ending to a makeshift team - but the Mayweather tie-in was great, and this is a way to give MVP a more prominent role on TV which he badly needs. Plus, the team element will help cover up for Mark Henry's shortcomings. Show carrying Jericho's limp body after the KO knuck punch ruled. Bourne-Chavo was set up nicely by the stupid boxing match, and what amazed me more than anything else was the crowd popping huge for Air Bourne despite it being done to a guy who's lost to a midget for months. The main event was fine - it didn't help or hurt Legacy, but did make Orton look weak since he was pinned by Vince. Sure, Cena was involved, but it still seemed stupid to do that a day after Orton had to do everything possible to retain the title. Vince was fucking golden through that opening segment. When Michaels first grabbed his shoulder, he spun his head around and gave him the biggest "fucking hell" expression I've ever seen. I certainly enjoyed it.
The tag match wasn't a title match, it was for an opportunity at Breaking Point. Mayweather screwed up. I loved him otherwise, especially with Vince. The rest of the show sorta dragged, but Bourne can do SSP's for two hours as far as I'm concerned. -------------------- QUOTE(glfpunk) There's no way the Saints beat the Cardinals. I said it all year, the Saints are overachievers and had a cake schedule. They ended the season by losing three straight and that was after barely beating Atlanta, Washington, and St. Louis a few games before that. It reminds me a lot of a couple years ago when the Cowboys won the NFC East at 13-3. Going into the playoffs, I didn't feel like they were as good as their record and that's exactly where the Saints are at. In a high scoring game, Arizona just has the better offense. Kurt Warner was nearly perfect in that game and he's the best QB in the NFL against the blitz. QUOTE(glfpunk) Saints stand no chance of winning a playoff game. They're done. I would say the same thing about the Vikings but luckily they got to play a team that had already packed it in last week and got some confidence back. Vikings/ Cowboys should be a good game. I expect Favre to throw many interceptions. Muppet. |

I almost went to the show, but considering with how much I've hated Raw recently, I was skeptical. Tonight's show sounded just as bad so I'm glad I skipped on this one.

That Mickie picture is not real flattering, in my opinion. Following Summerslam, which I thought was really good, that RAW was pretty lackluster. Although really Summerslam was good because of the Smackdown side anyway, not the RAW side.

No mention of that bizarre DX promo where they were drowned out by the sound of machinery?

Kind of a blah/nothing show this week.
That opening segment was REALLY long. I actually slept through the first twenty minutes though, as I had stayed up all night the prior night and was napping. Thus, I can't tell if it was good/bad/funny, whatever. Please... no more Chavo/Hornswoggle... Just awful stuff. I realize that in a feud like this, the writers (think they) are limited with what they can do, but this is significantly worse than the Hornswoggle/Jamie Noble stuff. The gimmick matches are so bad. I was impressed with how DX managed to carry on and play off the terrible noise that plagued their promo as well as they did. I actually like DX Triple H better than unstoppable heelish babyface Triple H. He's much more likable like this, as long as DX aren't doing terrifyingly bad skits like the cafeteria ones from a few weeks ago. Orton looked like a nothing for the whole show. Legacy looked significantly stronger than him the whole night. Much like at SummerfSlam. Last week, I commented that Henry and MVP were dressed a lot alike and in similar colors, so they looked like a tag team. Now they are a tag team. Well, WWE does need teams, and I think this will be a good one. MVP reversing Jericho's classic face bit on him was kind of weird. -------------------- Hey, remember that time when Vince McMahon died in the limo explosion? 84! 84! 84!
26 minutes the opening segment ate up and I wasn't bored for a second. Some may take this and use it as 'ammo' against McMahon and WWE. I can hear it now: "Vince and his ego! Eating up TV time!" . In all reality though this is the first time I can remember Vince having a birthday celebration on TV, so I canot begrudge the man because he did provideo SHOWGIRLS~! ELVIS~! and CIRQUE DE SOLEIL~! Brett looked TOTALLY out of place during The Legacy segments. I am surprised WWE didn't milk the interference and make an angle out of it. Seeing Brett,Ted,Cody, and Randy all standing together they just looked SUPER boring. This is the first Raw that I was able to sit through post draft. Good effort by WWE tonight and the show was helped by the improv of Michaels and HHH. |

The divas tag was enjoyable thanks to Mickie throwing awesome punches, upskirt shots of her, and Beth's tits looking enormous in her top. The Mayweather tie-in was great, and this is a way to give MVP a more prominent role on TV which he badly needs. Show carrying Jericho's limp body after the KO knuck punch ruled. All this is entirely true. The outfits for the diva match were seriously incredible. Mickie, Beth and Kelly all looked completely dynamite. Hope they all did shoots for the .com in those outfits. I thought the use of Mayweather was pretty perfect. Missed the opening segment and six man tag, but unlike sometimes when that happens, I DO plan to watch them when I get the chance so thats something. Orton taking a Sweet Chin Music into an Attitude Adjustment and THEN getting pinned by Vince doesn't make him look "weak" at all. He took two of the most over finishers in the WWE in a row. Liberace's corpse should be able to pin him after that.
