On the other hand it kinda makes me wonder why DC has never taken a stab at a manga Wonder Woman series that would allow them to turn down the realism to -6,000 on a scale of one to ten and make a bundle off the rubes and pervs in the TPB market.

Does anyone really get all pervy for Wonder Woman, though? I can never look at her in a "God I'm a dork, quit staring at Ms. Marvel's ass" kind of way. It's like checking out your grandma or something.
That cover, though, grody. |

Yes basically my plan would be to rip off the original William Marston comics entirely.

Wasn't there a Superman / Batman panel involving Wonder Woman that was basically S&M during the weirdo alternate universe arc? I think DC slips it in whenever possible, although in my mind going from that to tentacle sex is a bit of a stretch. -------------------- ![]() Sven H. Marvel has totally eclipsed everything they have coming out with that one cover. I wouldn't have even looked at it in any fashion, until it was posted here. I bet a bunch of the comic pervs will come out of the woodwork for this one.

This one should make OSJ happy. AMAZING FANTASY OMNIBUS HC Written by STAN LEE Penciled by STEVE DITKO, JACK KIRBY, DON HECK & PAUL REINMAN Cover by STEVE DITKO Across six issues of truly amazing adventures, Lee, Kirby, and Ditko dreamed up a cadre of ten-story tall menaces from Torr to Manoo to the one and only Monsteroso to trash unwitting Earthlings on a month-in and month-out basis. Backed up by weird tales of wax museums, witchcraft, Martians, and the occult master who set the trenchcoat trend in comics, Dr. Druid, it seemed these titanic tales could never be topped. And then Stan Lee and Steve Ditko did just that by launching “The Magazine That Respects Your Intelligence!” An all-new approach for the young comics sophisticate, Amazing Adult Fantasy presented Twilight Zone-tinged tales of otherworldly aliens, time travel, ghosts, atomic nightmares, and maybe even the secret of the universe itself. With story after lushly-illustrated story, Ditko set a new standard for comic book illustration, and Lee raised the bar ever higher with his scintillating scripts. And, oh, in the last issue they created some guy named “Spider-Man.” Collecting this lynchpin series of Marvel Comics' history for the first time ever, the Amazing Fantasy Omnibus puts AMAZING ADVENTURES #1-6, AMAZING ADULT FANTASY #7-14 and AMAZING FANTASY #15 between two hardcovers 45 years in the making. 416 PGS./All Ages …$74.99 ISBN: 0-7851-2458-6 Trim size: oversized -------------------- Mark Coale

Ok, maybe actual Marvel fans can talk about the books they want to buy, yeah?
Once again, Thoughts as I read the solicits -Good Lord that Ultimate Power cover is absurd. Land has gone from using Kate Beckinsale as ref for Scarlet Witch, to Zarda, to now Janet. -Not to mention that Janet Pym is in fact, Asian (Ultimate Jan, anyway) -Sacasa is off Spectacular? Damn I was enjoying the book -Is Ghost Rider ending? -Blade is cancelled. Good riddance SEVEN CAPITAL CITIES OF HEAVEN part 2! By Ed "I Killed Captain America" Brubaker and Matt "I Know Ed Brubaker" Fraction and David "Who Shot J.R.?" Aja. :D SERIES TITLE TO BE ANNOUNCED??? OH COME ON -The X-Factor solicit reminds me of those to Nazi kids. Frankly I expected more of PAD -The end is near. The situation is dire. The outlook is bleak. But Cyclops has a plan. Part 5 (of 6) Uh.... isn't Cyclops dead??? -Jason Aaron writing Wolverine? Sweeet - PUNISHER #50 Written by GARTH ENNIS Penciled by HOWARD CHAYKIN Good Christ. -Wisdom trade. They really should have waited until Cornell takes over Excalibur, but how and ever. Buying -Ultimate Power 9 -Daredevil 100 -IRREDEEMABLE ANT-MAN #11 -SPIDER-MAN: ONE MORE DAY SKETCHBOOK -PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL #10 -IMMORTAL IRON FIST #9 -SERIES TITLE TO BE ANNOUNCED -RUNAWAYS #28 -THUNDERBOLTS #116 -X-FACTOR #22 -X-MEN #202 -ASTONISHING X-MEN #23 -CRIMINAL #9 AVENGERS: EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES II HC NEW AVENGERS VOL. 6: REVOLUTION PREMIERE HC newuniversal VOL. 1: EVERYTHING WENT WHITE PREMIERE HC IRON MAN: DIRECTOR OF S.H.I.E.L.D. tpb X-23: TARGET X TPB CABLE & DEADPOOL VOL. 7: SEPARATION ANXIETY TPB GHOST RIDER VOL. 2: THE LIFE & DEATH OF JOHNNY BLAZE TPB WISDOM: RUDIMENTS OF WISDOM TPB PARADISE X VOL. 2 TPB (NEW PRINTING) -------------------- QUOTE I'm also banned - but they named the comic book folder after my log-in name. Which, considering I only had a problem with one guy, is kinda funny. QUOTE I still maintain that all this bullshit started happening when I got banned for calling out that fat idiot mod in the comic book forum. they then named said forum after me, which I found hilarious |

-Is Ghost Rider ending? I hope not. The series has been largely good so far, and while the arc that just wrapped up was a little weak (largely due to a lack of the devil's wise-ass banter that was more prevalent in the earlier issues), there's still a lot of potential, and, I'd imagine, a loyal fanbase. Besides, the sales haven't been that low, have they? |

Last ish of Ghost Rider sold 43,000 copies, which makes it waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too healthy a title to cancel.

Ok, maybe actual Marvel fans can talk about the books they want to buy, yeah? QUOTE -Blade is cancelled. Good riddance Hmm...QUOTE SERIES TITLE TO BE ANNOUNCED??? OH COME ON It's book formerly announced as The Champions, but apparently the right to call the book The Champions is now in legal dispute. The cover that accompanied the solicitation I saw still said The Champions #2 on it. --------------------
